To Manchester the Title

The pendulum has swung in the reds favour, only 10 to go Fergie!!!!!!!! This time last season 9 points separated Sir Alex men from Roberto Mancini's chargers, but both teams this season are 10 or more points better off. Manchester United had 60 points with 10 games remaining and went on to win 6 draw 2 and lose 2 of them to end the season with 80 points and Manchester City had 51 points with 10 games remaining they went on to win 7 and lost 3. Interestingly enough if both teams emulate these results this season each would be on 87 and "To Manchester the Title" on goal difference. Here is a look at the run in from my point of view, one things for sure, Champions elect will be Mancunian. Manchester United 18 March Wolverhampton Rovers (A) Manchester United Actual score 5-0 W Most would think for the in form reds this is a easy three points and even though its at the Molineux, I tend to agree. 3 points...

The Moyes decade: 10 biggest achievements of Everton boss

Life as a manager in the Barclays Premier League does not last too long these days – it can be just mere months if you get off to a shaky start at Chelsea. So as David Moyes hits 10 years at Everton, it is refreshing to see that a boss appointed in the 21st century can endure ups and downs and still reach double figures at a top-flight club.  (Article taken from Mail Online  by Dan Ripley http://bit.ly/wKjiMS ) Good life: David Moyes on his first day as Everton manager Making an instant impact Only goal difference separated Everton from the bottom three in the Premier League when Moyes took charge. But after winning three of their first four matches under the former Preston boss, the Toffees would end the season in 15th place and avoid relegation by seven points. The crucial game came only nine days into Moyes' tenure, when Everton travelled to relegation rivals Derby and secured a thrilling 4-3 victory thanks to goals from David Unsworth, Alan Stubbs, Niclas Alexanders...

Manchester United to Claim Title #20

Having come through the toughest part of their fixture list almost unscathed, Manchester United head into the final 11 games of the 2011/12 season trailing bitter rivals Manchester City by just 2 points. To head into 2012 with back-to-back defeats; first a 3-2 home loss by Blackburn Rovers and then a 3-0 thumping at Newcastle, Manchester City fans were right to expect their side to be in a more commanding lead over their neighbours at this point of the season. Manchester City have done little wrong themselves; winning 7 of their last 8 Premier League games; only dropping points in a 1-0 defeat at Everton thanks to a strike from Darron Gibson.  Manchester United have won 6 of their last 7 following their defeat at Newcastle; winning at the likes of Arsenal and Tottenham, coming from 3-down to recuse a point at Chelsea, and beating Liverpool in a heated game. Pressure is beginning to grow on Roberto Mancini’s shoulders, and whilst they have maintained their cool to this point, ...

White Hart Lane Preview

Team News Gareth Bale, Kyle Walker, Rafael van der Vaart and Ledley King are all expected to return for Tottenham despite picking up injuries in mid-week. Wayne Rooney has recovery from a throat infection to lead the United attack, but Tom Cleverley misses out after his latest injury blow. Chris Smalling and Antonio Valencia are also absent.  Manchester United will be in North London on Sunday for what manager Sir Alex Ferguson describes as a 'massive game' versus Tottenham Hotspur. The reverse fixture at Old Trafford occurred way back in August when goals from Danny Welbeck, Anderson, and Wayne Rooney propelled United to a 3-0 defeat of Spurs in an open game. This was exemplified by the two sides combining for 23 shots on target that day -- the most in a Premier League match this season. United's victory allowed them to extend their unbeaten streak to 21 games against Spurs -- 16 of which have been wins for Sir Alex's sides. Both teams lost the bulk of their...
