Pick the top six - Chelsea FC

Next up is Ms Marisa Calvert (affectionately known as Reesie) a Chelsea supporter, its not only the first time she'll be on JCBA Sports United but she's breaking barriers in being the first female to feature too. Kudos to her who knows in future may many more follow.

Forgive me, I’m still smiling after yesterday’s FA Cup replay. And as I told Jade, the FA Cup trophy loves the Stamford Bridge cabinet as much as the Premier League trophy enjoys its stay at Old Trafford. Many have tried, but not many have succeeded in winning back the trophy. Hats off to Manchester United though. Sir Alex Ferguson, I will swallow my pride and just applaud you for what you have done during your 20 years at the helm of one of the most successful football clubs in the world.

Chelsea my Chelsea – it’s a rollercoaster supporting you. And after 11 years of proudly keeping my blue flag high, nothing Roman does shocks me anymore. Chelsea was one point behind United when RDM got sacked. Enter Rafa Benitez, the Spanish waiter. We still got knocked out of the UCL (we would’ve been knocked out regardless of who was manager to be honest) but our dreams of winning the league was diminished. However, we still have a shot at a double with FA Cup and Europa League titles still well within our grasp.

Rafa is another kind of coach though. It has taken me a long time to come to terms with his game plan BUT I think I have figured it out. His focus: FA Cup, Europa League title and UCL qualification. He wants trophies under his belt. Remember how he rambled off his CV at a post-match press conference? Chelsea has the following fixtures until the end of the season to look forward to: Sunderland (home), Fulham (away), Liverpool (away), Swansea (home), Man Utd (away), Villa (away) and Everton (home). In my opinion, these are a few tough matches, especially with FA Cup & Europa League in between. Versus Sunderland, Chelsea has the better winning record at the Bridge but with Rafa’s selections, it’s kinda hard to predict how the remaining matches will play out. I do however stick to my guns that we will qualify for the UCL and therefore, I present to you, my Top 6:
1.Manchester United
2.Manchester City
3.Tottenham Hotspurs
4.Chelsea
5.Arsenal
6.Everton

And for kicks, the top scorer of the season will be Luiz Suarez.

Enjoy the rest of the season! Can’t believe the season is almost finished – sjoe, this year really flew! Manchester United fans – well done to your team. I’m pretty sure your number 20 will bring you the 20th title :) celebrate well!

JCBA response:
Biting my tongue I guess congratulations is in order, anything is better than a City Cup triumph so a sincere Good Luck to Chelsea bringing the FA Cup home a.k.a the Chelsea Cup. You literally covered everything from the great Sir Alex to fat waiter & his priorities, so there is not much left for me to say. Funnily enough I don't see Spurs ending above Chelsea come May but understand the logic behind it. Though it would seem Everton are on an upward curve so is Liverpool and I have a sneaky suspicion they'll pip the Blue half of Merseyside to sixth. A lot will depend whether or not Suarez gets that golden boot to be honest. RVP on the other hand owes me a hatrick (Fantasy Footie) so he'll be there & there abouts because well... all droughts end EVENTUALLY. Give Reesie a follow on Twitter @Reesiebabygirl

The Premier League changes its logo.

The most lucrative football league in the world, The English Premier League (EPL), yesterday unveiled its new official logo, which will be used from the 2016-17 season onwards. The division's lion icon has been the face of England's top flight since its launch in 1992 but has undergone a makeover to give it a fresh, modern look. It means, EPL is ending its 12-year association with Barclays bank and will from now on be known simply as ‘the Premier League’. The new logo – has a crowned lion’s head gazing to the right, accompanied by either the words ‘Premier League’ or ‘PL’ -- will replace the current logo of a lion with its left paw on a football. All 20 clubs in the top flight have also agreed a new centralised sponsorship strategy, meaning the league will no longer have a named sponsor. “From next season we will move away from title sponsorship and the competition will be known as the Premier League, a decision which provided the opportunity to consider how we wanted

Liverpool's Klopp host Jose's United

WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp : "Apart from the table, it's a very important game. I know about the history, I like the special stories. The whole world will watch this game, it's a big honour to be part of it. "At the end, it's up to us to perform to our best. You cannot and should not ignore the special circumstance of a game like this. You have to be ready. "They have big quality and we have to respect this, as we do. But this is Anfield. We have to show this. We have had a few nice atmospheres but I'm open for the best atmosphere. We need everybody in a Liverpool shirt in this game." Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on concerns over disrespectful chanting at the game: "In football we have some football tragedies, if you can say that, which is a big match that you lost, the mistake that some player did, this kind of thing, and you can make fun of it in a positive way. "But the human tragedy i

Ronaldo keeps on winning - Fifa Best Player Award

Cristiano Ronaldo was named the world's best player at the inaugural Best Fifa Football Awards in Zurich. Real Madrid and Portugal forward Ronaldo, 31, beat Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Atletico Madrid's Antoine Griezmann to the prize. Ronaldo also won the Ballon d'Or in December, with both honours recognition for success in the Champions League with Real and Euro 2016 with Portugal. 2016 was quite a year for Ronaldo. As well as scoring the decisive penalty in the shootout to win the Champions League, rescuing Real with a hat-trick in the final of the Club World Cup, captaining Portugal to Euro 2016 glory and being recognised with a fourth Ballon d'Or, he now has something Messi does not - the honour of being named best Fifa men's player. The former Manchester United forward had been the favourite for the award, following a year in which he continued to deliver. The stats don’t lie: 44 games, 42 goals, 14 assists. The third best minutes-per-goal
