Roger Federer will become the second player in the space of five weeks to become a men's eight-time winner of a particular grand slam should he triumph at Wimbledon after Rafael Nadal’s eighth lifting of the Coupe des Mousquetaires at Roland Garros earlier this month. It's crazy that professional tennis (otherwise known as the open era), has seen one player achieved this feat in 45 years, so for Federer to add his name to this list (coupled with his 17 grand slams) would just underline his status as the greatest in the games history.
