JCBA's Fantasy Footy 16

Game Week 38 reviewed
Just another 8 point GW to crown JCBA a successful Fantasy Footy Champion.

Stats and plaudits to follow but 91 points was the winning margin hashtag just putting it out there.

Game Week 37 reviewed
Eight is great and boy is JCBA just that!

Scoring an even 100 point GW he now finds himself 83 points ahead of NTU and one hand firmly on retaining his Fantasy Footy Title. Eighth consecutive GW win does just underline their has only been one name on the trophy.

Said for some miracle there is just no way JCBA will be caught and lets not forget he can still burn two transfers. Talk about transfers BeauronD still has all his 30 transfers left and has scored an average of 49 points a GW which is good considering his inactivity in the market.

I will hold off on the congratulations but come Sunday it will be like they say in Highlander : "There can only be one". Hashtag its and old series/movie (google it)

Game Week 36 reviewed

JCBA is bossing it, he has now won 7 consecutive GW's, DILLY DING DILLY DONG.

Considering that before this season 3 consecutive GW wins in a row was the record and that NTU set a new record of 5 consecutive GW wins, JCBA's seven is quite the achievement. Heck he might not be done yet.

NTU threw caution to the wind and made all his substitutions after GW 35 and still JCBA won GW 36 but we can't blame him because it was a risk worth taking. He does now find himself looking at the FA and their retrospective review panel to not ban any more of his squad players as substitutes are like I said before unavailable to him.

Let's not forget GW 37 is a double GW and players like JCBA and BeauronD have the option to cash in and for some ... put one hand firmly on the Fantasy Footy Trophy.

Game Week 35 reviewed
Six GW wins in a row now and a 44 point lead in JCBA Fantasy Footy.

If he needed to underline his Championship credentials his final push for the title or in fact these last 6 GWs showed just what he is about. It will take something special to catch him now with only 3 GWs remaining. NTU will be scratching his head as to what more he can do to knock JCBA off his perch.

As much as we would like to believe someone can catch the defending Fantasy Footy Champion, I'm afraid much like Leicester City in the English Premier League -- It's just a matter of WHEN not IF!!!!!

That's if you ask me that is!!!!

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 34 reviewed
JCBA is all I'm saying.

The defending Fantasy Footy Champion has now won five GW's in a row and doesn't look like he is going to stop any time soon. He also has the opportunity to win 6 GW's in a row and if you recall NTU also won 5 from GW 8-13. He also set the highest GW score (129 points) of not just the season but ever in JCBA Fantasy Footy history. Let us not forget his lead at the summit is now a staggering 40 points.

Don't get me wrong JCBA might be leading by some distance but there is still 4 GW remaining and as the saying goes ..... the fat lady hasn't sung JUST YET!!!

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 33 reviewed
Another GW win for JCBA and more importantly he extended his lead at the summit to 16 points.

Just FIVE GWs left and an intriguing five GW it will definitely be. NTU will have to take risks and transfers are in short supply so something shrewd needs to be done.

The defending Fantasy Footy Champion sits in the box seat but he will have to put his shoulder to the wheel should he want to retain his title.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 32 reviewed
Yet another GW win for JCBA and more importantly he now has an overall Fantasy Footy League lead of 14 points.

Segment 2 has definatelty been his and it's up to NTU to catch him. Just seven GWs remaining and it is going to the wire.

JCBA knows that 14 is not much but for a change he will be looking down rather than looking up and that's a better position to be in, he would agree.

Game Week 31 reviewed

Well well well we have a new Fantasy Footy Group leader and the dreaded International Break couldn't have come at a worse time for JCBA.

Sitting 5 points clear does give him the edge but with a testing 7 GWs remaining it is definitely not enough to rest on his laurels.

What he could have done with was another GW as soon as possible not wait out some international soccer.

It's the proverbial business end of the season where we separate the men from the boys.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 30 reviewed
So as expected NTU is still leading the way but JCBA will be happy with now only being 7 points behind.

At the business end of the season with games distinctly fewer week by week it does seem that the gap between the top two is edging towards the fantasy footy champion JCBA.

Can he do something about that this week or will NTU stretch it again?

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 29 reviewed
NTU and JCBA scored 70 points each yet find themselves two points behind GW 28 winner BeauronD.

If I say Diego didn't Costa them this GW I would be lying, what would be interesting is to see if they stick with him in a quite crazy GW 30 ahead. It's as you were at the summit and with only 9 GWs left, NTU does sit on a comfortable lead.

How can I forget, I had Aguero pegged for GW captain but managers had other ideas and that penalty miss never helped.

Crazy is the word and come Monday evening much like Leicester City, I expect NTU to still be the setting the pace in JCBA Fantasy Footy it's just a matter of by how much.

That is all...

Game Week 28 reviewed
Hectic week makes this post an eleventh hour piece but NTU is back and just a reminder to the chasing pack that he is HERE. He has also extended his lead at the summit.

Yes JCBA is back to being 18 points behind NTU and as if he needs any reminding he is in for one heck of a fight to hold on to his fantasy footy crown. BeauronD was comprehensively brought back to earth from his hat trick GW winning streak after scoring considerably less than the GW average and he will find that Fantasy Footy is no sprint.

Massive changes are expected as the business end of the season brings title chasers for the EPL up against each other and could have an effect on squads.

It will be exciting and there will be no surprises who will captain GW29... At least we expect that he will!!

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 27 reviewed
JCBA wins the GW though he won't have much time to gloat as GW28 is literally upon us in other words Tuesday the 1st of March.

He can also be thankful for the Capital One Cup Final or the fact that managers in JCBA Fantasy group forgot that a few English Premier League teams had a blank due to said final.

Look at BeauronD only scored three points less than JCBA with a player light. Not to mention NTU having a few blanks this GW. Heck it might be a strategic plan or it might have been just an over sight, who knows?

No use crying over spilt milk but that 9 point gap at the summit NTU enjoys, might soon be a deficit, at the rate JCBA is going.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 26 reviewed
BeauronD makes it a hatrick of GW wins in a row. JCBA and NTU can count their lucky stars he never joined JCBA Fantasy group sooner.

Interesting GW up ahead and the Capitol One Cup Final adds a twist no fantasy manager enjoys. So besides City and Liverpool having blanks this GW managers need to remember a double GW beckons for them and are they willing to wait for it?

With Aguero being most teams GW captains expect him to at least be benched if not dropped all together.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 25 reviewed
BeauronD (Back to Back) and Nice Time United won this GW, out scoring JCBA by 5 points.

What would please NTU more is that now he has extended his lead in at the summit to 23 points and just two GWs ago it was 14 points. The addition of BeauronD has ruffled many a feathers and is definitely keeping JCBA and NTU on their toes.

Some interesting GWs up ahead lets see if BeauronD can make it a hat-trick of GW wins or if the rest can break his streak.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 24 reviewed
BeauronD won his first GW  in only his second GW so talk about dynamic, maybe there is method in his madness of captaining your goal keeper.

NTU will be smiling too but only because he also out scored JCBA this GW, Which keeps his nose in front in the overall scheme of things. Catch me if you can must be the mantra in GW 25 as well as choosing a GW captain could well be fun.

With many big hitters squaring off against each other this week could be a slow one Hashtag just putting it out there.

Game Week 22 & 23 reviewed
Hat Trick of GW wins for JCBA and he only finds himself only 14 points behind NTU is what can only be described as JCBAs segment.

The FA Cup break couldn't have come at a worse time for him and on the other hand ít is exactly what NTU needed if only just to stem the flow of JCBA GW wins.

BeauronD made a strong start to his Fantasy Footy career, he will do well to note that a strong bench does bring in points when you least expect it and more often than not three strikers are the way to go, I cant remember when last I've seen goal keeper as a Fantasy Footy GW captain.

That's definitely a dynamic approach.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 21 reviewed

Back to back GW wins for JCBA that must bring a smile to his face.

He is still 19 points behind NTU but he is doing what he does best and chipping away on NTU's lead.

JCBAs Fantasy Footy has a new member BeauronD yes he has started a tad bit late but everyone is welcome and I'm sure he will bring a new dynamic to the group.

Good luck in catching NTU he still sits pretty at the summit just he has been having a slow start to segment 2 that is all.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 20 reviewed

JCBA starts off the new segment by winning the first GW but the problem he faces is this GW win only took 5 points out of NTU hefty lead at the summit.

He will need a lot more wins like this and hope NTU has poor GWs hence forth. If memory serves this must be one of JCBAs lowest points GW to win a GW, just goes to show The English Premier League is one difficult league to predict.

That's why we play Fantasy Footy for the almighty challenge.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 19 reviewed

Congratulations to the winner of segment 1 Nice Time United with an impressive 1187 points.

He ended the segment 67 points ahead of the defending Fantasy Footy Champion JCBA. Last year around this stage of the competition JCBA's 1067 points was enough to win the segment as NTU only had 1055 points.

It is also a mean feat to comprehensively win a segment as JCBA has never lost a segment in 4 years of Fantasy Footy let alone by such a margin. It's safe to say that this seasons Fantasy Footy 16 has been the most challenging in living memory. With a seasoned JCBA been caught off guard and going for the experienced elite players only for them to seriously misfire. Not to mention the hard working quite brilliant more consistent less pedigreed players leading the pack.

With the new GW starting just tomorrow and teams reset, everyone has to start afresh and with NTU sitting pretty at a 67 lead it is gonna be hard to catch him, especially in the surprisingly close English Premier League.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 19 reviewed
NTU wins GW19 just to underline his dominance of this 1st segment.

He now takes a 66 point lead into GW20.

Its all about damage limitations for JCBA; if you ask me, that is.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 18 reviewed
Chad wins a GW and JCBA makes a 15 point GW gain without a captain as Pelligrini decided to rest Aguero, but its far too late for this segment.

NTU sits pretty with a lead at the summit of 51 points and two GWs remaining to the end of segment one and a reset of all teams. The best the rest can hope for is well winning the next two GWs and closing the gap.

With quick turn around GW 19 starts tomorrow and in retrospect they could made this a double GW, if you ask me,

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 17 reviewed
If last weeks 1 point GW might as well have sealed this segment for NTU then a 30 point GW win margin has put an end to any further challenge, at least for now.

Everything that could have gone wrong went wrong for JCBA this GW and his focus should now be damage limitation and have his eye on the new segment and his assault on retaining his title.

Bring on a bumper festive schedule and Good Luck guys.

Game Week 16 reviewed
Well well well JCBA makes his move and shows his hand and there NTU and Chad win the GW.

Nothing surprises me in soccer these days, and that 1 point win over JCBA might just have sealed the the segment for NTU. Though JCBA will have his say on that but he will not just have to just win GW 17, he will also need things to go his way.

The season is still long but with GWs running out we could see the first segment loss for the defending champion.

Well on the bright side he still has time unlike The Sacked One...

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 15 reviewed
Another GW win for JCBA has the tide turned?

This about the time the defending Champion made his assault on NTU lead in last seasons fantasy footy. One difference it this time around he has kinda showed his hand somewhat.

He now only has one substitute left and that could be telling. So expect NTU to make substitutions and make that up next week. Chad has also made some good strides but for him I expect the turn of the year to hold something more of a realistic challenge.

Stranger things a have happened in the EPL and it usually does.

Game Week 14 reviewed
Finally someone else winning a GW and the person that would be most pleased about just that, would be JCBA.

It was starting to look like this Fantasy Group was turning into a one man show but alas the defending champion is hanging in there. Surprising to see NTU scoring the lowest in a GW because we have to be honest it has been quite a while. Injuries for big name players could swing things this week and it would be interesting to see which way it goes.

The beauty that is the English Premier League does humble the best in their league and that I expect them to do this in GW15.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16

Game Week 13 reviewed
Records records records just flying thanks to NTU, much like Jamie Vardy.

The rest must be feeling the heat because already NTU is more than 50 points ahead. In all honesty JCBA can make that up but that would mean two things one NTU needs to have a bad GW and two lighting needs to strike twice. If you recall last season JCBA did exactly this and caught NTU at the line.

But JCBA will know "Lighting doesnt strike twice!!!!!"

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 12 reviewed

There is no stopping NTU so the rest of us must fight for the title of "Best of the Rest".

Yes it does seem like NTU is playing against nothing but the record books, as last weeks GW win was a monumental achievement. In the last 4 years JCBA has been in Fantasy Footy no one has ever won 4 GWs in a row.

Where he does come short is with remaining transfers and it would seem that lessons of last season weren't learned as that was exactly what cost him a segment 1 win.

Heck if it was me I'd prefer having the points in the bag than having to chase the leader.

Jade Christopher Bentley Adams 16
(@jcba & IG @jcba_official)

Game Week 11 reviewed
Somebody stop NTU please. He is probably the only one that is not looking forward to the International Break.

JCBA won the last GemW before an International Break and he would be hoping for just that again in GW12. No comment on Chads decline he on the other hand can't wait for just any sort of break because it just might bring a change in his form.

Enjoy it people as next week its International soccer and touchwood injuries don't complicate your roster.

Game Week 10 Reviewed
Nice Time United is the man to beat and is does seem like JCBA will have to be the one to catch him, if he can be caught that is.

As expected JCBA is opening up a some sort of a lead from Chad and NTU is doing the same to the defending champion.

I feel it in my bones GW11 will be one high scoring week, and you can quote me.

Game Week 9 Reviewed

Yet another GW win for Nice Time United the boy is in fire.

JCBA seems to be edging closer to the leader and Chad quite the opposite. Big GWs lay ahead next week and many squads have players facing each other so that could bring fantasy footy scoring down just a tad.

Catch 22 weekend for most and for those don't it probably means they'll be cashing in big time.

What a GW to win and this wasn't just JCBA's first GW win but also the highest GW points scored in the last two Fantasy Footy Seasons. I bet he never wanted the International Break (IB) to come so inconveniently as it did.

The IB brings with its own headaches for Fantasy Footy Squads and Sergio Aguero is the most high profile of the lot. Not to mention Mahrez, Sanchez and Pedro have no guarantee of starting either.

So the question is do you take the expected knock of GW9 oand kick on in GW10 or make wholesale changes.

Game Week 7 Reviewed

Chad wins yet another GW knocking NTU off his record setting run. And JCBA keeps bringing up the rear.

Every week you think will be JCBA's GW but every week he falls short. With Chad's GW win it does bring things closer together in the group and to his credit JCBA scored the second highest points this GW.

Who knows maybe this GW he comes out tops ..... For once.

Game Week 6 Reviewed

Nice Time United has broke a long standing fantasy footy record. He has now won 4 game weeks in a row and it doesn't look like he will be slowing down anytime soon.

For Chad he is holding on gallantly and JCBA is still bringing up the rear. It's like one step forward and two steps back for the defending champion.

Much like Wayne Rooney and his poor form: "His drought will come to an end". Or so it would seem.

Game Week 5 reviewed

We have us a new leader and NTU has now won 3 GWs in a row now. He must be buzzing.

Especially because JCBA is sooooo far behind, He must feel like Jose Mourinho, Like his bus has been parked at the airport or they sold his bus for parts or he just doesn't have a bus anymore. Sad forlorn-ed figure much like his illustrious counter park Jose. Nothing seems to be going right for him and the results reflect that. Interestingly enough on Sunday evening he was leading the GW by 20 points and guess what West Ham's Dimitri Payet scores a brace and JCBA is back where he started looking up not down as he has become so accustomed to.

Looks like retirement has put him off his game, or that looks can be deceiving.

Game Week 4 reviewed

Chad hits the 200 and NTU wins a second GW in a row and JCBA, well all he can hope for is that the International Break brings with it some good fortune.

Can't see many changes all round but then again stranger things have happened. Heck even Jose Mourinho is sweating his teams poor start to the campaign. You can be sure everyone will come out guns blazing just like a little fixture out in Manchester today.

Good luck and most importantly ENJOY!!!

Game Week 3 reviewed

NTU showed us again that winning three weeks in a row is something of a mean feat, to say the least. He is still leading the pack and JCBA finds himself at the bottom of the food chain.

Last season after GW3 JCBA was 37 points behind the leader now he is 32 points adrift, improvement? He also went on to not just win the next three GWs he was the JCBA FANTASY FOOTY 15 Champion lets not forget.

Just like his luck her subs out Wilson and the boy goes and scores a hatrick, his first in his career that is. Lets just hope for Manchester United's sake he drops Rooney this week because the Swans are going to be their toughest test this season hashtag by far.

It's early days but I'd rather be swimming with the big boys than baby sitting the bottom feeders. That's for sure.

Game Week 2 reviewed

Chad wins yet another GW and finds himself with a healthy 21 point lead, he must be smiling smuggly that initially he has got it right and only used 4 transfers in the process.

NTU went on to burn 9 transfers and equally shocking JCBA made none. Its quite alarming that he is sticking to his guns if he doesnt shape up soon he could find NTU passing him in this GW. Interesting to know that in the last 4 seasons of Fantasy Footy the highest consecutive number of GW wins is 3 and Chad is one GW away from achieving just that; Good Luck to him.

Will JCBA finally react and dip into the transfer market, will Chad still be setting the pace or will NTU turn up and turn thus group on his head.

Just 3 game weeks in and I'm already loving the intrigue.

Welcome back!!!!!!

The lottery that was the first Game Week 1 has flown by and bragging rights initially belong to Chad.

Out scoring perenial champion JCBA and last season's runner up Nice Time United must put a smile on his face. What I have notice is that the guys have kept with their usuals or 'what they know players' and it seems to have worked out well.

Yes this GW Aguero was a risk and NTU suffered somewhat but we only into one GW and that could reap heavy rewards later. It's been a totally different start for JCBA he has stepped out of his comfort zone and gone with an uncharacteristically cheap midfield but I'd be very suprised if he keeps it that way this weekend; if not burn some transfers or two.

GW starts FRIDAY evening so make sure you get that squads locked soon.

The most lucrative football league in the world, The English Premier League (EPL), yesterday unveiled its new official logo, which will be used from the 2016-17 season onwards.
